How did you do with your portfolio grading? I based it on the three main, last papers, and gave each student a form with their grades and some comments on it. I'm going to post the grades tomorrow, and I have an extra office hour tomorrow, so I have a feeling I'm going to get hammered by wailing, weeping, and gnashing of teeth. And what were your grade ranges like?

Hi gang. It's good to meet all of you. I'm feeling both excitement and nervous tension about this upcoming teaching job. Now I'm feeling tongue-tied (finger-tied). I will say that I'm particularly interested in early British literature - Renaissance, Milton, Spenser. Now I'll drive home - a long, arduous trip on the turnpike - and feed all the animals. Maybe I can practice teaching them, too!
